Reflection features a recent series of glass works by Isolde Kille. The pieces are installed as devices hanging from the ceiling, creating depth while the shining surfaces of glass reflect light, playing with the perception of viewer.
These works are installed in storefront windows, on view for free during the Outlet's open hours.
Each of these works has a secret twist. The tension between what we initially notice and what is actually there resonates through our encounter.
Born in Welver, Germany, Isolde Kille holds an MfA (Meisterschüler) from the University of Arts in Berlin, Germany. As a graduate student, Kille was involved in several independent art initiatives which inspired her to move to New York City in 1998. Since 2012, Kille has lived and worked in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
